Hutchinson Art Center offers children's workshop on Kansas artist Lester Raymer

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — The Hutchinson Art Center will host a hands-on art workshop for children ages 6 through 12 on Saturday, Feb. 21, featuring the work of Lindsborg artist Lester Raymer.
Artist and educator Beckie Vega will lead the monthly children's art project, which focuses on "Lester Raymer's Sun Faces." Students will explore Raymer's life and artwork while learning to draw facial features and work with collage techniques, color, line, texture, pattern and variety.
The workshop will be divided into two sessions, each covering different skills. Group A meets from 1 to 2:30 p.m., and Group B meets from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Each session costs $8 per child.
