Hoover wins title at Patriot League tournament

MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson middle school boys tennis team finished fourth with 97 points at the Patriot League Tournament, trailing champion Winfield (137), Wellington (104) and Prairie Hills (101).

Jensen Hoover led the Bullpups with a first-place finish at No. 2 singles, going 3-0, while Cy Stucky took third at No. 4 singles and the doubles teams of Cooper Hicks/Tanner Tully and Jordan Reno/Charlie Gustafson each earned third-place finishes.
