Hays Welcomes FIFA World Cup Countdown Clock Through December
Touring display tracks time until 2026 matches begin in Kansas City.
HAYS, Kan. — The Hays Welcome Center is hosting an official KC2026 FIFA World Cup Countdown Clock through Sunday, December 14, allowing visitors to track the time remaining until matches begin June 11, 2026, in Kansas City, one of eleven U.S. host cities for the international tournament. The touring countdown clock, located at the Welcome Center at 2700 Vine Street, is specifically devoted to traveling throughout Kansas while other FIFA World Cup countdown clocks remain stationed in the Kansas City area. Visitors are encouraged to take photos with the display and share them on social media using #KCCountdown and #WeAre2026 hashtags. The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be hosted jointly by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with Kansas City joining host cities including Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York/New Jersey, Philadelphia, San Francisco Bay Area, and Seattle.
