Free Pet Vaccination Clinic Offers Essential Shots at Hutchinson Animal Shelter

HUTCHINSON — Pet owners can get free vaccinations for their dogs and cats at a clinic scheduled for Sept. 24 at the Hutchinson Animal Shelter.

The vaccination clinic will run from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and pets will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointments are necessary .

The clinic will provide rabies, parvo, distemper and bordetella vaccinations for dogs, as well as rabies and feline distemper shots for cats at no cost to pet owners.

Bruce Veterinary Clinic and Cause for Paws Inc. are sponsoring the event, according to promotional materials shared on social media.

The free clinic aims to help pet owners who may struggle to afford routine veterinary care for their animals. Rabies vaccinations are particularly important as they are required by law in most jurisdictions and protect both pets and humans from the potentially fatal disease.

Pet owners planning to attend should ensure their animals are properly restrained on leashes or in carriers. Additional details about the clinic can be obtained by contacting the Hutchinson Animal Shelter.

The shelter is located south of downtown Hutchinson on 1501 S. Severance Avenue.
