Fort Riley Boulevard lane closures begin June 22 for asphalt repairs
The $299,540 project will reduce traffic to one lane in each direction through late August.
MANHATTAN, Kan. — Traffic on Fort Riley Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in each direction starting June 22 for a $299,540 asphalt maintenance project stretching from Poliska Lane to Westwood Road.
Schilling Construction Co. Inc. will complete the mill and overlay repairs in two phases, initially closing the outer lanes and diverting Westwood Road access to Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
Sidewalks will remain open throughout the project, which is funded by a state grant and a local 0.2% sales tax. The work is expected to conclude in late August.
