Fort Riley Boulevard asphalt repairs delayed to June 29
City of Manhattan

MANHATTAN, Kan. — Commuters on Fort Riley Boulevard will face lane reductions and restricted access to Westwood Road starting June 29 as the city launches a delayed $299,540 asphalt repair project, according to the city. Postponed to accommodate the delayed reopening of Anderson Avenue, the six- to eight-week mill and overlay work by Schilling Construction Co. Inc. will limit traffic between Poliska Lane and Westwood Road to one lane in each direction. The repairs are funded by a local 0.2% sales tax and a Kansas Department of Transportation grant. Sidewalks will remain open ahead of a separate pedestrian improvement project planned for late August or September.
