Deadline Looms for Artists to Submit Work to Hutchinson Show

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Local artists have less than four weeks to submit their work to the 2025 Hutchinson Art Association Members Art Show, with the final deadline set for 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17.
The Hutchinson Art Center is currently accepting artwork from association members for the annual exhibition, which welcomes all mediums and artists of all ages. Time is running short for those hoping to showcase their recent creations.
"We are so excited to see what you have been creating lately and cannot wait to showcase your art this year," organizers said.
Artists must hold current Hutchinson Art Association memberships to participate. Each artist may submit one piece, though exceptions will be considered for diptychs and triptychs on a case-by-case basis.
Strict guidelines govern submissions. Artwork cannot exceed 5 feet in width, height or depth, and only pieces completed within the past two years will be accepted. Two-dimensional works must arrive ready to hang with wire or sawtooth hangers, while all pieces require attached notes listing the artist's name, title, price or "Not For Sale" designation, medium and year created.
The submission window opened Sept. 2 and runs through the Oct. 17 deadline during the center's operational hours. Artists who miss the cutoff will not be able to participate in this year's show.
An opening reception is scheduled for Oct. 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hutchinson Art Center. The free event is open to participating artists, their families, association members and the general public.
