The presentation will cover severe weather safety, preparedness and what to do when warnings are issued. The event is open to the public.

The announcement came alongside the conclusion of the agency's Severe Weather Preparedness Week contest. Two winners were drawn from residents who liked, shared and commented on the department's preparedness posts throughout the week.

Jean Hebenstreich Stvartak won a Midland Weather Alert Radio with a Midland pillow shaker, and Janet Dykes won a Midland Weather Alert Radio and a Streamlight LED flashlight.

The agency also reminded residents that weekly outdoor warning siren testing will resume Tuesday, March 10, at its new time of 11 a.m., weather permitting.
