HUTCHINSON — Construction crews have begun work on a new waterline system in the Spyglass Hills neighborhood, city officials announced.
APAC, the contractor selected for the project, has mobilized equipment and begun installation of an 8-inch watermain, valves and fire hydrants along two corridors: Cherry Hills Drive from Spyglass Drive to Jupiter Hills Drive, and Foxfire Street from Spyglass Drive to Cherry Hills Drive.

The new line will connect to an existing 8-inch watermain on Spyglass Drive, extending south on Jupiter Hills Drive.
The project stems from an executed petition submitted to the city to establish an improvement district for construction of a water distribution system.
Residents and motorists should expect minor traffic impacts during the construction period. The project is anticipated to be completed by mid-April, weather permitting.
