A community food pantry box has been placed in front of B&J's Smoke Shop on 4th Street, according to a Facebook post by Lori Baxter in the "Hutchinson's Helping each other" group.

The pantry box, installed Nov. 15, operates on a take-what-you-need, give-what-you-can basis, Baxter said.

Shannon Kirk and Donna Baxter helped with the project, while Phillip White assembled the box, according to the post.

The red structure is visible in photos outside the B&J's location, marked by the business's street sign.
