Cloud County Community College Opens $500K Scholarship Application for 2026-2027

JUNCTION CITY, Kan. — Cloud County Community College-Geary County Campus announced scholarship applications are open for the 2026-2027 academic year, with more than $500,000 available in academic and Foundation scholarships.

The application window runs from Oct. 1 through March 1, with awards made on a first-come, first-served basis, according to a college announcement Tuesday.

Students can apply for both academic and Foundation scholarships through a single online application at www.cloud.edu by clicking the "Scholarships" tab.

First-time, full-time students who complete the application before the March 1 deadline will be considered for academic scholarships. Foundation scholarships include memorial and other designated awards, with requirements and amounts varying by scholarship.

The college recommends students complete their applications in Microsoft Word with attention to spelling and grammar before submitting. Applications require four sections: general information, academic information, qualification questions and essay questions.

"Tell us what your major is, what you want to do with that major, and why you chose Cloud County Community College for your education," the college advises applicants.

Cloud County Community College, founded in 1965, operates two full-service campuses in Concordia and Junction City, serving 12 counties in north-central Kansas. The Geary County Campus, located at 631 Caroline Ave. in Junction City, offers associate degrees, certificates and short-term training opportunities.

The college offers Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of Applied Science and Associate of General Studies degrees. Many courses are part of the Kansas Board of Regents Transfer and Articulation system, guaranteeing automatic transfer to any public college in Kansas.

In addition to academic and Foundation scholarships, the college offers athletic scholarships and participates in the Kansas Promise Act scholarship program for students in specific technical programs.

Students must also complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid to be considered for federal financial aid programs.
