Classic car enthusiasts rev up for Hutchinson's Annual Rod Run this weekend

HUTCHINSON – The 2025 Downtown Hutchinson Rod Run & Classic Car Show will accept day-of registrations after pre-registration closed Thursday, with on-site sign-ups beginning Friday at noon.
Participants can register in person starting at noon Friday at 16 E Ave A. Registration fees vary by timing: vehicles cost $30 and motorcycles $20 for Friday registration, while Saturday-only registration drops to $20 for vehicles and $10 for motorcycles.
The annual event, scheduled for the first weekend of October, typically draws thousands of visitors to downtown Hutchinson and has featured up to 500 hot rods, classic cars, trucks and motorcycles in previous years.

Friday's schedule includes a 6 p.m. Main Street cruise and poker run for registered vehicles. Saturday concludes with awards, a burnout competition and a free concert.
All registered vehicles receive a registration number and window card valid for both days. Security will be provided during daytime and overnight hours, and vehicles may remain in their parking spaces overnight. Parking spaces are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis with no reserved spots available.
The event prohibits alcohol in the rod run area. All vehicles must be registered to participate in the show.
Additional weekend activities include a pin-up contest, vendor demonstrations and two free concerts. Admission for spectators is free.
