Citywide storm debris removal set to begin June 15
Crews anticipate spending at least two weeks clearing neighborhoods and public parks
MANHATTAN — Residents dealing with the aftermath of recent severe weather will see relief starting Monday as city crews launch the next major phase of storm cleanup.
Workers will transition from emergency response to recovery, picking up and hauling away scattered branches, limbs and other storm debris from local streets, public parks and residential neighborhoods.
City officials anticipate the comprehensive neighborhood cleanup effort will take at least two weeks to complete, as crews methodically work their way through the hardest-hit areas.
