Citizen Journal Is Sending More Emails — Here's Why
We're splitting our local government summaries to get you the news faster.
You may notice a few more emails from Citizen Journal landing in your inbox soon. Here's what's changing and why.
Until now, we've combined our city council and county commission coverage into a single "local news summary" email. That meant if one meeting happened on a Monday and the other on a Friday, we'd hold the first summary until the second was ready — sometimes delaying delivery by several days.
Going forward, we'll send city council and county commission summaries as soon as they're available — in most cases within 12 hours of the meeting. That means faster coverage, but it also means you'll receive separate emails instead of one bundled digest.
