Children's art workshop to celebrate Kansas artist Lester Raymer

The Hutchinson Art Center will host monthly children's art projects on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, led by artist and educator Beckie Vega.

The make-and-take art classes are open to children ages 6 through 12 and will be divided into two groups: Group A from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and Group B from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Each group will cover different skills. The cost is $8 per child.

January's project theme is "Lester Raymer's Sun Faces." Students will learn about the life and work of Lindsborg artist Lester Raymer and explore basic facial features, collage techniques, color, line, texture, pattern and variety.

The registration deadline is Friday, Jan. 23, at 4:30 p.m.
