Child care professionals invited to free brain development class in Wichita

WICHITA, Kan. — Child care professionals are invited to attend a free class on understanding children's behavior through brain development on Saturday, Nov. 22.

The Growing Brain: Understanding Behavior class will run from 8:45 a.m. to noon at Kansas Children's Service League, 1365 N. Custer, Wichita.

The class, presented by Zero to Three, will cover brain anatomy and its connection to behavior, root causes of challenging behavior, and effective strategies for responding to challenging behavior.

Participants will receive classroom materials that support children's healthy brain development and three hours of Kansas Department of Health and Environment in-service credit.
