Chamber Music Kansas Presents Season Opener at Union Hall

MANHATTAN, Kan. — Chamber Music Kansas will present "Fields and Fountains," a free concert featuring works by Mozart, Bunch and Tchaikovsky, Sunday, Sept. 21 at 3 p.m. at Union Hall.

The performance serves as the season opener for Chamber Music Kansas, a new series bringing dynamic and diverse programs to the Manhattan community. The concert is free and open to the public.

The program will feature six performers: violinists Madeleine Jansen and Eva Dove, violists Tonya Burton and Elena Kolbrek, and cellists Syneva Colle and Rachel Dirks.

Union Hall is located at 328 Poyntz Ave. The venue underwent a three-year historic renovation and has been reestablished as an event space for community gatherings.

Pre-Concert Event

Chamber Music Kansas will also host "String Circle: Artist Talk" on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Flight Crew Coffee. The free lecture will explore Americana influences in classical chamber music and feature a performance of Kenji Bunch's riveting, fiddle-inspired "String Circle."
