Burnin' Down Main Crowns 2025 Champions in Chili and Dessert Competitions

Saturday's Burnin' Down Main event brought out the best in local culinary competition, with Graber's Ace Hardware claiming the grand prize of $500 in the highly competitive Chili Cook-Off, followed by Advanced Physical Therapy ($250) in second place and Rhaemazwitos Chili ($100) in third, with Rhaemazwitos also capturing the $200 Fan Favorite award for their crowd-pleasing recipe. The Dessert Contest saw McPherson Pet Resort take home the $100 first-place prize, with Megan Tyler earning $50 for second place and Brad Doughman securing $25 for third, while Sheryl Schmidt was recognized with the $100 Spirit Award for embodying the festive atmosphere of the annual downtown McPherson celebration. The event, which transforms Main Street into a showcase of local flavor and community spirit, drew enthusiastic crowds who sampled entries and cast their votes for their favorites throughout the day.
