Bullpups XC Boys, Girls Both Finish 14th at Great Bend
McPherson's varsity cross country squads each placed 14th at the Great Bend invitational.
GREAT BEND, Kan. — The McPherson Bullpups varsity boys and varsity girls cross country teams each finished 14th at the Great Bend invitational Saturday. On the boys side, Isaiah Ortiz and Xavier Hartinger led the way, both clocking 18:51 to finish 44th and 45th, respectively, followed by Nathan Friesen (83rd, 20:11), Jonas Emery (87th, 20:16), Maxton Nelson (93rd, 20:25) and Oren Klein (122nd, 21:37). The varsity girls were paced by Adeline Kramer in 43rd place with a time of 22:49, with Kamryn Prescott (55th, 23:17), Eliza Jex (75th, 24:17), Molly Owen (93rd, 25:37) and Megan Emery (117th, 28:54) also competing, while in the JV boys 4K race, Connor Forsberg led McPherson with a 31st-place finish in 17:31, ahead of Tyler Ek (57th, 18:58), Micah Foster (72nd, 19:57) and Charlie Unruh (75th, 20:03).
