Bullpups Volleyball Girls Varsity Eyes 2026 Bounce-Back
McPherson returns two elite players and boasts its deepest roster in years.
MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson Bullpups varsity girls volleyball team enters the 2026 season with proven talent after posting a 35-7 record, winning the AVCTL Division III title and reaching the 4A state tournament in 2025 — all without ever playing or practicing in the Roundhouse. Senior setter Rylie Whitfield, who recorded 1,004 assists and earned first-team AVCTL honors last season, and junior middle hitter/outside hitter Carmin Pavlovich, who tallied 194 kills and a .218 hitting percentage, headline a returning core that the program calls its biggest strength heading into the new year. Newcomers Harper Rierson and Piper Solofra are also worth watching as McPherson looks to replace six graduated seniors — including four-year starters and all-state players Ava Romero and Brooke Doile. The Pups look to get back to the 4A State Tournament in 2026.
