Bullpups Boys Finish 6th at Wamego Cross Country Meet
McPherson boys place sixth out of 23 teams on a challenging Wamego course.
WAMEGO, Kan. — The McPherson Bullpups varsity and junior varsity boys cross country teams combined to finish sixth out of 23 teams Saturday, with Tripp Pelzel leading the way in 14th place with a time of 17:27, followed by Xavier Hartinger (30th, 18:22), Isaiah Ortiz (53rd, 19:10), Nathan Friesen (54th, 19:13) and Jonas Emery (62nd, 19:40). On the girls side, Adeline Kramer paced McPherson with a 23rd-place finish in 21:52, ahead of Eliza Jex (52nd, 23:18) and Megan Emery (132nd, 27:56). The meet served as an early-season benchmark against 4A competition, with many Bullpups athletes improving their times from the previous week on the hilly Wamego course.
