Bullpup Volleyball Sweeps Senior Night with Two Victories

McPHERSON — The McPherson varsity volleyball team celebrated senior night in style Tuesday, defeating Wellington 25-23, 24-26, 25-19 before sweeping Buhler 25-19, 26-24 in a dominant home performance.

Brooke Doile and Ava Romero led the offensive attack with 20 kills each, while Elley Paulsen added 15 kills and a team-high four aces. Setter Rylie Whitfield orchestrated the offense with 59 assists and contributed two blocks on defense. The Bullpups' defensive effort was balanced, with Romero leading the way with 17 digs. Doile, Adelyn Barrow, and Carmin Pavlovich each recorded 15 digs to anchor the back row. After dropping the second set to Wellington, McPherson responded with a decisive 25-19 third-set victory before rolling past Buhler in straight sets to cap the emotional senior night celebration.
