Buhler Mennonite Church seeks volunteers to package 50,000 meals
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Buhler Mennonite Church is recruiting volunteers to package 50,000 meals for local families struggling with food insecurity during a community service event Dec. 6 at Sand Hills Event Center, 4601 N. Plum St., Hutchinson.
The church needs volunteers ages 7 to 147 for two shifts at the event center, 4601 N. Plum St. The first shift runs 9 to 11 a.m., with arrival at 8:45 a.m. The second shift runs 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with arrival at 10:45 a.m. Volunteers may work one or both shifts.
No previous experience is required, and job orientation will be provided on-site.
"What a great way to give of your time during the Holiday season to help local households who struggle to put food on the table," organizers said in the event announcement.
