Bennington sweeps Trinity Catholic in volleyball doubleheader

The Trinity Catholic High School Celtics (2-17-1) hosted the Bennington Bulldogs (21-6) in a volleyball doubleheader Tuesday at Trinity Catholic High School.

Bennington entered the day as a top-20 ranked team in Kansas 2A volleyball. The Bulldogs dominated both matches, winning the first 25-14 and 25-5. In the second, they secured another victory, finishing 25-11 and 25-7.

For the Celtics, junior Eilley Cost (3), junior Melanie Maya (6) and freshman Azlyn Cost (44) were notable performers. Bennington dominated with strong serving and aggressive attacking from their outside hitters. Trinity Catholic struggled with reception and passing in both matches.
