Arkansas City Chamber Hosts 'Selfie with an Elfie' Event

ARKANSAS CITY — The Arkansas City Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a holiday promotion featuring a traveling Elfie visiting local businesses through Dec. 16.

Participants can find the Elfie at Ark City Rec and Wild Annie's Antique Boutique today, the chamber announced Thursday on social media.

The event encourages residents to take selfies with the Elfie as it travels to participating businesses throughout Arkansas City. Photos can be tagged with the businesses, the Arkansas City Chamber of Commerce and the hashtag "Christmas in the City."

A drawing for a winner will be announced Dec. 18 on the chamber's Facebook page.

The promotion features the following tour schedule:

• Dec. 10: Shelter Insurance and Hunt Portable Buildings
• Dec. 11: Graves Drug and Schmidt Jewelers
• Dec. 12: Wild Annies and Ark City Rec Center
• Dec. 13: Landrush Antique Mall and Pizza Ranch
• Dec. 14: A-1 IV Rehydration and Friendly Ford
• Dec. 16: Make It Yours and Angels in the Attic

The event is part of the chamber's efforts to promote local businesses during the holiday season and encourage community engagement.
