AI Workshop Coming to Wellington as Part of Regional Workforce Push
WELLINGTON, Kan. — The Sumner County Economic Development Commission and FlagshipKansas.Tech will host a hands-on artificial intelligence workshop next month aimed at helping local workers and business professionals apply AI tools in their daily lives.
The "AI Starter Lab" is scheduled for Tuesday, June 23, from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at Regent Theater, 114 W. Lincoln in Wellington. Doors open at 3:15 p.m. The concession stand will be open, and attendance is free. Seating is limited.

Attendees will learn how to write more effective prompts, understand AI's capabilities and limitations, apply AI to business and creative challenges, explore advanced tools and features, and use AI ethically and responsibly.
FlagshipKansas.Tech, a nonprofit Kansas technology council, will lead the instruction. According to the organization's website (flagshipkansas.tech), it channels the collective energy of Kansas tech companies to grow the state's tech workforce and foster technology education.

Attendees must bring their own laptop or mobile device. Space is limited, and organizers encourage early registration.
