A Doctor's Note, August 8, 2025

Form the desk of Sen. Roger Marshall

A Doctor's Note, August 8, 2025

Fellow Kansan,

With August recess fully underway, I am back in Kansas and traveling all over the state. This week kicked off our 100-stop tour. I will be meeting with local leaders, business owners, teachers, medical professionals, community activists, farmers, and many others who work hard to serve our state and care for our families, friends, and neighbors.

This week, my travels took me across Kansas, each visit leaving a lasting impression. From sharing my 25 years of OB/GYN experience at the inspiring Topeka Breastfeeding Conference to touring the cutting-edge facilities at Kansas State University, every stop was a highlight. At K-State, I was thrilled to receive a new shirt from the athletics department, which I'll proudly wear while cheering on the Wildcats in Ireland in just two weeks.

I look forward to heading west next week to meet with more Kansans as we continue our 100-stop tour.

Pictures from these visits are below in the newsletter.

Please know that my family and I take this responsibility seriously and are proud to represent all Kansans in the U.S. Senate.

Senator Roger Marshall, M.D.

Senator Marshall: Republicans are Putting the America First Agenda Into Action

Early in the week, I joined Fox News Live to discuss the slow-walk through of Trump appointee confirmations due to Democrats’ obstruction and Joe Biden’s mental decline hoax that the White House and media covered up.

I also joined Pete Mundo on KCMO to discuss the upcoming government funding deadline, the MAHA movement, the comeback of American agriculture and manufacturing, and the recent flawed jobs report.

Senator Marshall Applauds the Trump Administration’s Successful, America First Trade Negotiations

The continued good news around trade deals and tariffs shows that the success of President Trump’s strategic application of tariffs cannot be overstated.

In utilizing reciprocal pressure to create fair trade with other nations, we have given Americans – especially Kansas farmers and ranchers – access to critically important export markets for our world-class products and goods.

Kansas will not just feed the world; we will fuel it too.
