8th Grade Girls Volleyball Sweeps Triangular
McPherson's A and B teams both went 2-0 at Circle's triangular Saturday.
MCPHERSON, Kan. — McPherson Middle School's 8th grade girls volleyball teams each went 2-0 Saturday at a triangular hosted by Circle, defeating Circle and Haysville West. The A team topped Circle 25-18, 25-22 and Haysville West 25-8, 25-9 to improve to 3-0 on the season; coach Christine Pianalto noted the Bullpups overcame early serve-receive struggles against Circle by leaning on strong serving and high energy. The B team also went 3-0 overall with wins of 25-18, 25-20 over Circle and 25-14, 25-18 over Haysville West, with Maleah Crawford recording 15 aces across both matches, according to coach Brittany Baum. Both teams travel to Great Bend Middle School on Thursday for a triangular against Great Bend and Hays.
