8th Grade Girls Volleyball Sweeps Emporia Dual
Both A and B teams win in three sets, improving to 6-0 and 5-1.
EMPORIA, Kan. — McPherson Middle School's eighth-grade girls volleyball teams swept Emporia Middle School in a dual Tuesday, with the A team winning 25-15, 25-10, 25-10 and the B team winning 25-16, 25-12, 25-17. "While we struggled a little in the first set right out the gates, the girls came together with some great communication and movement to win each set easily," A team coach Christine Pianalto said. The B team, coached by Brittany Baum, was led by Emrie Wyssmann's nine aces as the Bullpups overcame an early seven-point deficit to improve to 5-1 on the season.
