8th-Grade Girls Volleyball Bullpups Go 2-0 at Triangular
McPherson's 8th-grade A team stayed perfect at 8-0 with wins over El Dorado and Prairie Hills.
MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson Middle School eighth-grade girls volleyball teams competed Tuesday in a triangular at Prairie Hills against Prairie Hills and El Dorado. The A team swept both matches — defeating El Dorado 25-7, 25-11 and outlasting Prairie Hills 22-25, 25-22, 15-10 to improve to 8-0, with Hayden Vogelsberg recording 16 aces against El Dorado and Hayden Allen and Cayson Harlin anchoring the defense in the Prairie Hills match; the B team split its two games against Prairie Hills, falling 15-25, 18-25 before rallying to win 25-19, 30-28 and move to 6-2 on the season. Both teams return to action Monday, Sept. 14, at home against Clearwater and Wellington.
