7th Grade Girls Volleyball Bullpups Sweep Emporia Dual
Both McPherson squads remain undefeated at 6-0 after dominant wins.
EMPORIA, Kan. — The McPherson Middle School seventh-grade girls volleyball teams swept a dual at Emporia on Tuesday, with both the A and B squads improving to 6-0 on the season. The A team cruised past Emporia 25-15, 25-8, 25-9, while the B team took all three sets 25-20, 25-21, 25-11. "The Bullpups came out strong against Emporia," A-team coach Ally Lusk said. "I am very proud of the hustle the girls showed tonight." Coach Lauren Labertew praised her B-team squad as well, noting the girls "served very well and were scrappy" after a slow start in the opening set. The seventh-grade Bullpups travel to El Dorado Middle School on Wednesday, Sept. 9, for a triangular against El Dorado and Prairie Hills.
