7th-Grade Girls Volleyball Bullpups Go 4-0 at Hays Triangular
Both the A and B teams swept Hays and Great Bend to improve to 5-0.
HAYS, Kan. — McPherson's seventh-grade girls volleyball teams each went 2-0 Tuesday at a triangular hosted by Hays Middle School, with both squads defeating Hays and Great Bend to push their records to 5-0 on the season. The A team, coached by Ally Lusk, swept both opponents by scores of 25-12, 25-21 over Hays and 25-12, 25-10 over Great Bend; Lusk said the Bullpups "did not let balls drop tonight" and praised strong serving and net play throughout. The B team, coached by Lauren Labertew, also took both matches — beating Hays 25-17, 25-19 and edging Great Bend 25-15, 23-25, 15-13 — before both squads turn their attention to a road match at Emporia on Tuesday.
