7th Grade Bullpup Volleyball Teams Sweep Augusta
A Team finishes 14-1, earns top seed for league tournament; B Team ends season strong at 14-6
McPHERSON — The McPherson 7th grade Bullpup volleyball teams both defeated Augusta in Thursday's home dual, with the A Team improving to 14-1 and the B Team closing their season at 14-6.
The A Team dominated Augusta 25-8, 25-15, showcasing the improvement they've made throughout the season. The Bullpups displayed strong communication, powerful serves, and smart net play while moving their feet and playing consistently throughout both sets. "Their hard work at practice has definitely paid off and their skills have improved so much throughout the season," said Coach Abby Bradstreet.
The victory positions the A Team as the top seed heading into the Patriot League Tournament in Haysville on Saturday, October 18. "We have high expectations for the day," Bradstreet added.
The B Team capped their season with a 25-10, 25-17 victory over Augusta, coming out strong and maintaining momentum throughout the match. The Bullpups excelled in passing and serving while making impressive plays at the net. "I'm so proud of the improvement these girls have had this season," said Coach Amelia Broadfoot. "Each player showed immense growth over the last few months. We are happy to end our season on a high note."
