Woman shot on West 4th Avenue, Hutchinson police investigating

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Hutchinson Police Department officers responded to a shooting in the 800 block of West 4th Avenue on Friday evening, Feb. 20, 2026, at approximately 8:19 p.m.
Officers arriving on scene located an adult female suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers rendered first aid until Reno County EMS arrived and transported the victim by ambulance to Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.
The investigation remains active. Police say additional information will be released as it becomes available and can be confirmed without compromising the investigation.
