Winter Weather Advisory Issued for McPherson Area
Snow accumulations of 2-4 inches expected to impact Monday commutes
MCPHERSON, Kan. — The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for McPherson and surrounding areas from 3 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, with snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches expected across central Kansas. The advisory covers McPherson, Salina, Hutchinson, Newton, and several other communities in the region, with forecasters warning that slippery road conditions could significantly impact both Monday morning and evening commutes. Residents are advised to slow down and use caution while traveling, and motorists can obtain the latest road conditions by calling 511. The winter weather system is expected to move through the area during the 15-hour advisory period, creating hazardous driving conditions throughout much of the day.
