Winfield to Honor Outgoing Commissioner Ron Hutto at Jan. 5 Reception

WINFIELD — The City of Winfield will host a public reception Monday to honor outgoing City Commissioner Ron Hutto for his nine years of service on the commission.

The reception will take place from 3:30 to 4 p.m. Jan. 5 at the Winfield Area Chamber of Commerce, 200 E. Ninth Ave.

Hutto served on the Winfield City Commission from 2016 to 2025 and held the position of mayor in 2019, 2022 and 2025.

During his tenure, the city completed several major projects, including implementation of a city-wide software system, automated metering infrastructure and electric transmission improvements. The city also constructed the Public Safety Center and made significant enhancements to parks and facilities.

Community members are invited to attend the reception to thank Hutto for his service to Winfield.
