Winfield Municipal Band to Honor Veterans with Free Concert Tuesday

WINFIELD – The Winfield Municipal Band will present a Veterans Day concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Richardson Performing Arts Center on the Southwestern College campus.

The free concert, directed by Chance Alquest and featuring the Burford Singers, will be hosted by retired Lt. Col. Penny Bloedel, USA. A reception will follow the performance.

The program will include patriotic selections such as "Midway March," "Band of Brothers," "Victory at Sea," "The Patriot," "Hymn for the Fallen," "America the Beautiful" and "The Great Escape," among other pieces.

The concert is made possible through grants from the Legacy Regional Community Foundation and the Robert Warbender Irrevocable Trust.

The Richardson Performing Arts Center is located on the Southwestern College campus in Winfield.
