Commission approves temporary entertainment district for July 4 event
WINFIELD, Kan. — The Winfield City Commission unanimously approved a resolution Monday authorizing an outdoor community event and temporary entertainment district for the Pharoahs Car Club. According to City Clerk Tania Richardson, the district will be established at Island Park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 4, 2026. The measure passed without debate following a motion by Commissioner Brenda K. Butters and a second by another commissioner.
