WINFIELD, Kan. — The Winfield City Commission unanimously approved a resolution at a regular meeting on Feb. 17, 2026, authorizing a three-year lease agreement with The Cooler, LLC to operate the marina at Winfield City Lake. Director of public improvements Patrick Steward presented the agreement to the commission, which adopted the measure without debate, securing ongoing operations for the local community asset.
City to purchase used service truck for $69,000
WINFIELD, Kan. — The city commission unanimously approved the expenditure of approximately $69,000 for the purchase of a used service truck. City Manager Taggart Wall explained the proposed vehicle is a 2015 Ford F-550 equipped with a utility bed and crane. Commissioner Brenda K. Butters motioned to approve the purchase, which passed with full support from the board.

WINFIELD, Kan. — With no citizens present to bring business before the board and zero debate on agenda items, the Winfield City Commission wrapped up its regular session in a brief meeting lasting six minutes, starting at 5:30 p.m. and adjourning at 5:36 p.m. Mayor Gregory N. Thompson called the meeting to order. Following the rapid, unanimous approval of a marina lease, three utility easements and a vehicle purchase, the meeting officially adjourned.
