Winfield, Arkansas City Libraries Offer Zoom Training for Seniors

WINFIELD — The Winfield Public Library and Arkansas City Public Library will host free workshops this month to help seniors stay connected with family and friends through Zoom video conferencing.

The "Getting Started with Zoom" sessions are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Monday evenings, Nov. 17 and 24, at Winfield Public Library, and 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Arkansas City Public Library.

The workshops, part of the Senior Planet program, are designed to teach participants how to use Zoom for video calls regardless of distance. Organizers said the timing is ideal as winter holidays approach and families gather.

Registration is required due to limited space. Participants must have an email address to create a Zoom account and should bring their email username and password to access their accounts during the workshop.
