Moundridge Dominates Second Half in 54-30 Victory
The Moundridge Wildcat boys basketball team cruised to a 54-30 road victory over Haven, pulling away in the second half to secure the win under head coach Dustin Kanitz.
Moundridge built a 24-14 halftime lead and dominated the second half, outscoring Haven 30-16 over the final two quarters to put the game away.
Easton Shahan paced the Wildcats with 18 points to lead all scorers. Heath Churchill added 10 points, while Jesse Lutz contributed 9 points. Kaizer Kanitz chipped in 6 points and Fynn Burge added 3 in the balanced scoring effort.
Haven was led by Martin and Bontrager, who each scored 11 points, while Brawner added 5. The home team struggled to contain Moundridge's offensive attack, particularly in the second half when the Wildcats pulled away.
The Wildcats will return to action at home against Elyria in their next contest.
