Whitfield's 23 Points Power McPherson Girls Past Circle 64-36
Bullpups improve to 5-6 on Wall of Fame Night with dominant performance
Rylie Whitfield put on a spectacular shooting display, scoring 23 points on 7-of-7 shooting including a perfect 6-for-6 from three-point range, as the McPherson Bullpups girls basketball team defeated Circle 64-36 on Wall of Fame Night at the Roundhouse.
Cooper added 10 points off the bench, while Lowery contributed 8 points and Doile added 7 points for the Bullpups. Sandbo and Alexander each chipped in 5 points in the victory. McPherson shot 38% from the field and an impressive 44.4% from three-point range, hitting 8-of-18 attempts from beyond the arc. The Bullpups also dominated at the free throw line, converting 18-of-28 attempts while holding a 37-34 rebounding advantage.
For Circle, Cuble led with 9 points and Smith added 7 points in the loss. The Bullpups' balanced scoring attack, led by Whitfield's perfect shooting night, proved too much for the Thunderbirds as McPherson improved to 5-6 on the season.
