"USD 353 teachers and staff have been extremely busy preparing the schools and classrooms for students to return," the district posted on social media. "They have gone through extensive training sessions and have spent countless hours decorating and preparing lesson plans for the new school year."
The district's Back to School Open House is scheduled for 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at all school buildings. Families are encouraged to meet their teachers, drop off school supplies and tour their schools during the event.
New Staff Welcomed
The district recently welcomed Eric Stamper, a new mathematics teacher at Wellington High School who will teach Algebra II and Pre-Calculus/Trigonometry. Stamper comes from the Hesston school district and is a graduate of Wichita State University and Emporia State University.
Stamper brings nearly 20 years of teaching experience across various grade levels, including international experience in China and Taiwan.
