Wellington Humane Society raises over $16,000 at Night to Paws Gala

WELLINGTON — The Wellington Humane Society raised $16,552 at its annual Night to Paws Gala Event, the organization announced this week.

The fundraiser will help support the shelter's operating budget and allow it to continue serving animals in Sumner County, according to a social media post from the organization.

"We can't say 'Thank You' enough to every person who contributed to this event in any way," the humane society stated. "This money goes into our budget to help keep our doors open and help more animals. Every dollar counts and this event helped us tremendously."

The organization expressed appreciation to all attendees and contributors who supported the fundraising effort.

The Wellington Humane Society announced it looks forward to hosting next year's gala event.
