Weather forecast forces May Fete opening night indoors

MCPHERSON, Kan. — A rainy forecast has forced Wednesday night's opening May Fete performances indoors to the McPherson High School auditorium. The 7 p.m. talent showcase, featuring McPherson County students in music and dance, requires an All Schools Day button for admission. The venue switch ensures a dry start to the weeklong festival, which has celebrated local education and youth since 1914.
