Water Main Break Shuts Down Service on North Grandview in Hutchinson
Information obtained from City of Hutchinson
HUTCHINSON, Kan. — City crews are responding to a water main break in the 100 block of North Grandview, temporarily shutting off water service to residents between 1st and 4th avenues while repairs are underway.
The City of Hutchinson announced the service interruption the morning of Nov. 3 on its official Facebook page, stating crews are working near 108 N. Grandview.
Officials estimate water service will be restored in approximately four hours, though the timeline depends on repair conditions. The city said crews are working to complete repairs as quickly and safely as possible.
Residents in the affected area should expect low water pressure or no water service during the repair window. The city has not announced whether a boil water advisory will be necessary following the repairs.
Hutchinson, the largest city and county seat in Reno County, is located in south-central Kansas. The city's water infrastructure serves thousands of residents across the community.
