School Board to Review Student Data Monday
MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson USD 418 Board of Education will convene for a work session at 6 p.m. Monday at the McPherson Middle School library to examine key district data, including student performance metrics and discipline statistics. This review aligns with the "Student Success" pillar of the district's recently updated strategic plan, which seeks to measure progress through classroom data, attendance and graduation rates. The session, held at 700 E. Elizabeth St., comes just over a week before the district’s scheduled March 3 bond election, providing board members a timely opportunity to evaluate accountability markers and informed decision-making indicators ahead of the public vote.
The McPherson Board of Public Utilities will meet Monday afternoon to review department operations and financial reports. The meeting, scheduled for 3 p.m. at the BPU Office, 401 W. Kansas Ave., will include a treasurer’s report and updates on electric and water distribution as well as electric production. Board members will also approve vouchers and minutes from the previous session before opening the floor for public input. The board is next scheduled to meet on March 9.
