The commission will also consider an annexation request from Jason Investments LLC for land south of Love's, as well as three rezoning proposals and a special use request for a church at 400 W. 4th St. Additionally, the agenda includes event requests for an adult silent disco, a Christian concert and the Kansas Barn Sale, along with agreements for school resource officers and crossing guards.
The McPherson City Commission will hold a study session on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, to discuss a street issue and a potential change to city ordinance. The agenda includes a "Clark Street Conversation" led by Derek Case from the Public Works department. Additionally, the Planning and Zoning department will provide an update on a forthcoming ordinance to revise the city's lot split approval process. That ordinance is expected to go before the Planning Commission on June 2, 2026, and is tentatively scheduled to be an action item for the City Commission on June 16.
The McPherson Board of Public Utilities will hear a presentation on its 2025 audit and appoint board officers during its regular meeting at 3 p.m. Monday.
