The board will review a traffic study recommending four-way stops at two Moundridge intersections following a deadly 2025 crash
MCPHERSON, Kan. — The McPherson County Board of Commissioners will consider proposals for significant infrastructure and safety projects at its meeting Monday. According to the agenda, the board will discuss accepting a Traffic Engineering Assistance Program (TEAP) study that recommends converting the intersections of Old 81 with Arrowhead Road and 22nd Avenue to four-way stops, a response to a double-fatality crash in 2025. The commission will also review the county's implementation plan for state law HB 2114, which alters regulations concerning dams, streams, and floodplains. Also on the agenda are proposed purchases including an $8,000 network switch for the McPherson County Building, and two separate proposals from Fuqua Construction totaling $18,550 for a storage worktable for the Register of Deeds and five exterior planter boxes.
