United Way of Reno County Seeks Nominations for April 25 Community Work Day

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — United Way of Reno County is calling on residents to nominate a neighbor, friend or family member in need of assistance ahead of its annual Community Work Day, scheduled for April 25, 2026.
The event connects volunteers with community members who could use an extra hand with home maintenance and outdoor projects this spring. Eligible projects include painting and minor home repairs, yard work such as mowing and trimming, building or repairing wheelchair ramps, cleaning garages, porches or gutters, planting flowers and basic landscaping, and small fix-it projects around the house.
United Way officials encourage residents to think of someone in their lives who might benefit from a day of hands-on help but may not have the resources or ability to complete the work on their own.
